Another successful evening at Mounts Bay Football Development Centre…

On Monday 11th November 2019, we welcomed the Truro Long Term Player Development Centre (LTPD) down to Mounts Bay for a festival evening where the U8-U13 squads all had games against each other.

The fixture nights allow the players to put into practise what they have been learning in their recent coaching sessions and to challenge themselves against other LTPD Centre’s. We are still in block 1 of the coaching curriculum and in our recent training sessions, the MBFDC squads have been focusing on the coaching topic ‘passing and receiving’, with the goal keepers working on ‘handling’. It was great to see both outfield players and goalies emulating their newly learned skills throughout the festival evening.

We are already looking forward to our next set of fixture’s, the MBFDC U14/U15 squad have a friendly arranged on Friday 6th December 2019 against the West Cornwall Schools FA – U14 District Representative Team. Our U8s-U11s travel to the Penryn LTPD Centre on Monday 9th December 2019 for another evening of fixtures. Further details will follow soon and will be sent by email to all parents/players.
