Alumni MBFDC player signs for Liverpool FC Women, from Bristol City ⚽️ 👏
We’re delighted to share some FANTASTIC news! A huge congratulations to Mari Ward who has signed for Liverpool FC Women 👏 ⚽️
Now 20 years old, Mari’s football journey began at a young age through the Mounts Bay Football Development Centre and the girls’ player pathway in Cornwall. She also proudly represented West Cornwall Schools’ FA and Cornwall FA at county level before going on to impress at both Regional and National Talent Camps.
Mari continued her development with Plymouth Argyle, earning a move to Bristol City, and her outstanding performances have now secured an exciting transfer to Liverpool. Along the way, she has also represented England at various youth age groups, and more so recently for the U23s, highlighting the incredible progress she has made throughout her career.
As well as being an exceptional footballer, Mari was an outstanding student at Mounts Bay Academy, where she embraced and excelled in a wide range of sporting opportunities. Everyone who has supported Mari is incredibly proud of Mari’s achievements and wishes her every success as she begins this exciting new chapter. We look forward to following her journey and cheering her on every step of the way.
